Participants will explore techniques for effectively using Prismacolour Premier coloured pencils by drawing one of southwestern BC's common backyard birds - a spotted towhee. The day begins with an overview of fundamental techniques before we move into drawing the bird. There will be a short lunch break as well as a couple of other quick breaks so we can stretch and keep our strenght up! Each participant will recieve paper we will be using as the drawing surface, a printed hand-out, and a reference photo of the towhee. Other materials and tools will be available in the studio but participants are responsible for purchasing some supplies in advance, as noted below.
